  My appointment was with Dr. Ortenberg, NOT a PA named Tracie Maestrini! That's #1. #2 She told me that my high blood pressure spikes during the day and after sleeping for an hour, and my 4lb daily edema retention is ALL due to my chronic pain. "Your heart was fine 6 months ago"..... Said Tracie. Well guess what??? Its Not Now!!!! I asked if she could at least do an EKG, her response was " Oh that's not going to tell us anything, those are useless!" REALLY?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? If one of my prior physicians had not done an EKG and found my long qt syndrome, I would be DEAD. If another Dr would NOT have done an EKG, they would not have been able to diagnose afib. Now You, Ms. PA Tracie is going to tell me an EKG is useless? Also, if an EKG is USELESS, then why is it the FIRST TEST done when anyone comes into any ER with ANY blood pressure, heart rate or chest pain???? If they are worthless??? I worked in several ER's and performed several hundred EKG's for over 20 years..they are Extremely important!! Dr. Ortenberg is, I believe a good Dr. and his office staff including his MA is very nice (except I should have been told that I could not see the Dr....it was a total waste of MY time and Energy, as I am still recovering from a major surgery with complications). But Tracie, PA needs to GO! Or I will find another place to go (If I don't have a heart attack first, since I cant see the Dr. For another month and since she refused to have the tech do an EKG...oohh I forgot "They are useless and wont tell them ANYTHING".... Give me a break!
